WE LIVE THIS

Torque is Orlando's drum & bass movement and one of the longest running drum & bass nights in America. Established in 1999, Torque brings top international, national and local drum & bass artists to perform in venues all around Orlando. Powered by a crew of dedicated drum & bass heads and supported by some of the most passionate fans on the planet, Torque is an American drum & bass institution devoted to bringing d&b to the forefront of underground electronic music in Florida and beyond.

MEET THE CREW

Torque founder, promoter, resident DJ and designer, Kevin Harrell, aka Circle K, has been championing drum & bass for 20 years. As Torque's original resident DJ, Circle K has mastered the art of warming up the crowd for some of the biggest names in d&b. With his long, smooth blends, quick cuts and seamless transitions from liquid to rollers to anthems and back, Circle K is a dj's dj and crowd favorite—whether opening at Torque or headlining elsewhere.

Co-founder of Torque and original resident MC and DJ, Damian Roman, aka Collaborator, has been hyping the crowd at Torque from day one. Drawing from his past as a metal band frontman, Collaborator brings a vibe like no other on the mic—a fusion of flows, growls, crowd hyping and even some crooning here and there. In addition to MCing and DJing, Collaborator also produces his own tunes solo and together with Aaron Bond as Synchronaria.

A regular guest DJ at Torque for years, Bradleeray, aka BLR, officially joined the Torque crew as a resident DJ in 2017. Prior to focusing his energy on his new role at Torque, BLR threw a monthly drum & bass night called Bass Line Research for about three and a half years. BLR's sound can best be described as upfront funk, as he effortlessly blurs the lines between liquid funk, bass-heavy rollers and dancefloor bangers.

A seasoned beat maker, Aaron Bond is a beast in the producer's seat. His original tracks are laced with crisp, cracking drums, moving melodies and clean punchy bass lines. And his own bootleg d&b remixes of pop tunes are such bangers his nickname within the crew is 'Bootleg Bond.' He's a beast of a DJ as well, flawlessly dropping big, sexy, bass-heavy dancefloor fillers every time he throws down in the Torque chamber.

Art Legere, aka The Amen Bros., brings fresh thinking and even fresher beats to Torque. His sets are lessons in technical mixing, tune selection and crowd control via an arsenal of bleeding edge dubs. And his introduction of live streaming to our night has helped us gain even more d&b fans around the world. When he's not dropping beats or running streams, Art tours the world playing bass, formerly with  the band bloodlet, now with End Reign.

A tune-making machine and monster DJ, Tim Parenteau, aka Kadilak, brings the rare combination of raw talent and insane work ethic to the Torque crew and his own music label, Rolled Up Records. A major advocate for U.S. drum & bass and rising star in the scene, Kadilak’s tunes and dj sets can be described in two words: pure energy. Old school hiphop head meets new school d&b technician, Kadilak is going places and bringing everyone along for the ride.

The d&b force is strong with Darren Comans, aka Stereo Stormtrooper (SST). Producing drum & bass for over 2 decades, SST tunes have an unmistakable sound—upfront neurofunk filled with crisp, clean drums, fierce chopped breaks, insane drum fills and haunting atmospherics. His DJ sets are equally as impressive, keeping bodies moving from first to last track. When he’s not making tunes or rinsing crowds, SST is head audio engineer at Sun City Post.

Chris Greens, aka Antipop, is a certified bad man on the decks. He cut his teeth DJing early 90’s hiphop and breakbeat, but once he discovered drum & bass and tearout breaks, he never looked back. Champion of the heavier side of the d&b spectrum, Antipop surgically mixes upfront neurofunk and techstep on 3 and 4 decks at a time. His tempo raising and pulse pounding sets are raw, rowdy and loaded with nonstop energy that makes you move.
